ShoeBox 2017

329. This is the total number of ShoeBox-es that will reach the children in Sercaita Coasta and Budila.
130 of them have already brought smiles on the faces of children in Sercaita Coasta, a 700-inhabitant village.
Tomorrow we continue the distribution of boxes in Budila.
Kids from the poorer areas of Brasov county can have a happy Christmas with your help. Therefore, ICCO has decided to become an official partner and location within the ShoeBox 2017 programme.
Last year, we were happy to receive support from our colleagues in bringing a smile on the faces of a few dozens of children coming from the poorer areas around Brasov. This year, we are extending the invitation to all of you who want to help someone.
How does it work?
You take a shoe box and wrap the top and the bottom in gift wrapping paper, separately. Kids are aged between 1 and 16 years, so we invite you to adapt your gift to their age:
- Something warm to wear (hat, gloves, scarf)
- Personal hygiene objects (toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel)
- Toys (dolls, cars, puzzles)
- Books (to read, to color)
- Sweets etc.
Each box must have a small note on top stating for whom the present is intended for (ex. Boy, 7 years). The objects in the box must be in perfect shape, clean and durables. Campaign duration: December 1-15 2017. Collection point: ICCO, 1st Scolii street, Marketing Department.
